[fetchmail]for lack of a better word...

Is there a way to make fetchmail "multi-thread"?

In other words, can it check multiple accounts *simultaneously*?

Here's my situation - 

I've got fetchmail, and have had it running before, but when it 
checks for mail, it checks user1, then user2, then user3, and so on.

To check all our users takes 30 minutes.
Is there a way to make it check all users at the same time, simultaneously?
This would cut down the check time, I would think.
