Re: [fetchmail]for lack of a better word...

Here's a quick idea I had to accomplish this if fetchmail itself doesn't
support it.

Break up your users into multiple fetchmailrc files. Create a shell script
that will start multiple instances of fetchmail (each with an individual
fetchmailrc file) in the background and use a cronjob to run the script.

If you wanted to use fetchmail daemon mode instead, you would probably
have to create multiple users to act as fetchmail users. (Since each user
can only have one fetchmail daemon running at a time.)

Is there a way to make fetchmail "multi-thread"?

In other words, can it check multiple accounts *simultaneously*?

Here's my situation -

I've got fetchmail, and have had it running before, but when it
checks for mail, it checks user1, then user2, then user3, and so on.

To check all our users takes 30 minutes.
Is there a way to make it check all users at the same time, simultaneously?
This would cut down the check time, I would think.

Thanks,

Weyland
