you've got to upgrade that. It's just way too old. Pick a standard

Ok I upgraded, using version 6.1.3 now,
my problem persists: that is the header looks
X-MIME-Autoconverted: from quoted-printable
to 8bit by sunma2.mat.ucm.es id gB3Lu7p05518
(sunma2 is my machine)
fetchmail -V returns:
Interpretation of Content-Transfer-Encoding is enabled (pass8bits off).
MIME decoding is disabled (mimedecode off).
