I don't consider this a bug. We discussed this some months ago when
I asked how to delete oversized mail. I use the following to have a
"byte sink" account on a POP3 server where fetchmail deletes all
incoming mail without retrieving it:
user "trashcan" pass "secret" limit 1 flush
I use this i.e. to have replies to announcements etc., which point
back to the bytesink address, silently dropped. This kind of account
can also be used for some spammers.
