[fetchmail]HELO / ELHO: Can the default hostname value be changed?

2004-09-15 08:58:24
Hi All,

I?ve looked through the FAQ and tried some googling? but I
still can not find a way to change fetchmails default HELO
or ELHO hostname response. The remote server denies any
sending of mail if you give it a HELO value of ?localhost?.
The remote servers response is:

fetchmail: SMTP< 554 <localhost>: Helo command rejected:
You are not me

If I specify any thing else (like ?localhost123?) the
remote server accepts mail for delivery. Please HELP!

(You will notice that I'm running fetchmail in reverse for
"complicated" reasons :-) )

Thanks,
