I'm already cringing at the <excerpt>--</excerpt><nl>
<excerpt>--</excerpt> stuff I'm seeing from Nathaniel. Why can't
those <nl> remain _inside_ the excerpt element? Why is a <nl> tag
needed at the start of so many lines?
I think we should try to keep this in perspective. I may have done
richtext something of a disservice by implementing the Andrew translator so
early, but these are completely artifacts of the way I'm doing the
translation, not flaws in richtext. If I can make the translation better,
you'll see it all done with <paragraph> and <excerpt> in small doses. I
could give you the technical details of why this is hard in Andrew, but that's
even less relevant than this objection!
