I would like to hear about others interested in this and especially
about others who feel "foreign" characters should be done using the
ISO 8879 entity mechanism (instead of "quoted printable" or whatever)
in headers too! Send me mail.
Well, I haven't been very active in the richtext discussion,
partly not to distroy the consensus reached (although I envy Nat
that he has got his specs in there and my RFC-CHAR is out in the cold.
The reasoning that Nat and others have for retaining Richtext in
RFC-MIME could also be said for MNEMONICS).
I have suggested privately to Nat that Richtext would
use the Mnemonics for "foreign" characters. MNEMONIC is actually
one of the biggest collections of character names I know of,
and quite readable and transportable compared to other schemes.
