Subject: Working Group Last Call: Mnemonic to Proposed Standard

Advancement of Mnemonic to any form of standard is a "showstopper"
to me!

It only really solves a Eurocentric problem.

For the same reasons, I suppose you would prefer that we stop using 8859/*
and even ASCII, until we get a worldwide character set?

I didn't understand from Greg's announcement whether the Mnemonic I-Ds are
being submitted as informational RFCs or as proposed standard RFCs or as
one of each. At any rate, I support promotion of Mnemonic to be an official
character set within MIME.
