The metamail package implements the READING of msghead-style headers.
If you use a metamail-modified mail reader to read a message with any
of these encoded headers, it will decode them, and will even show them
to you properly if you're on a terminal that uses the right character set.
I guess I'd call this a fairly complete implementation on the reading end,
but there's no support at all for sending.  This means that it has NOT
been extensively used, but it also means that there are now thousands of
people out there who can receive such headers...   -- Nathaniel
