I don't know what you mean by "breaks open". The fact is that people are
now sending stuff that they intend to be wrapped by the recipient as
text/plain. All that adding the parameter does is to indicate "yes, I
really want it wrapped". It doesn't break anything.
However, even if you do think there is a concern here, that's why I did
mention a third possible alternative:
3) Create a new Content-Disposition for "display-wrap".
This has the advantage of indicating the wrapping or non-wrapping desires
of the sender, but doesn't dork with the definition of text/plain.
