The biggest problem is that 2047 would not produce labels that conform to
the historically significant subset of letters-digits-hyphen (LDH) which
constitute the hostname syntax used by most applications. There are
several other problems, however, including the use of charset tags for
each label, character substitution (" " vs "_") and other ambiguities.
Although most of the secondary problems could be resolved with a stricter
syntax, there would still be the LDH problem.
