No, Charles; the original message in this discussion mentioned
content identifiers, which explicitly use RFC 822 syntax. There
was no mention of "removal of duplicates" or "threading" or
anything vaguely similar.

No, there are no such circumstances, and you have explained none, in spite
of being asked to do so

Several have been provided; the messages were sent to this
mailing list and to you. The message headers in the copies
in this mailing lists archives bear that out.

Nobody gives a damn whether an <id-right> is a domain or not.

Yet another unsubstantiated Lindsey blanket claim. As is
typical of those, it is false.
