There is no way of telling (because full headers are not

The full message archive is available in text form, and you
can (if you doubt my word) download it and verify that the
part is labeled:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed
Grab last 1200 headers of the list on GMaNe, find the relevant
subject, note news: URL for the Message-ID, then replace the
part news://news by http://mid, use a browser to find the URI
where it's archived at GMaNe, add /raw at the end resulting in
<http://article.gmane.org/gmane.ietf.smime/5227/raw>
Not exactly the fastest way, but for you and Charles I dare not
propose to use obscure software like a newsreader and the URL
<news://news.gmane.org/40D87592(_dot_)4020104(_at_)digitalnet(_dot_)com>
