FWIW, I think that these cases would be odd to have happen, but I don't see any reason to prohibit them. Given the basic idea of a list syntax, it actually seems more complicated to prohibit them.

Yes, thanks. I think you have nicely demonstrated its utility. The comment might contain an explanation about the occurrence and reason for having excised an address.
