In their current setup at $work, they use procmail. There's plenty of
HOWTOs on the web which talk about how to set up procmail for delivery, and
at least some of these do not use the -z flag for activating the LMTP mode.
Looking at the trace headers from the $work setup, I don't see any LMTP
trace fields -- in fact, it looks as if their procmail added no trace
headers at all, and the last one I see is an ESMTP received by the target
IMAP server from their spam filtering GW.
-> the point is that Dovecot at $work does not even know whether it's an
EAI message or not.
I have a hunch that there are other companies with a setup similar to this
one, no matter whether it's compliant, or expected by the EAI documents.
