to the badmailfrompatterns of our mailservers and get rid of all that crap
that either originates from them or fakes their domains.
And I am sure a lot of others are, too. They're using a proprietary
mail system that I can't send messages to, so why should I accept
message I can't reply to?

The implication is that AOL can spam yahoo and MSN and vice versa but
no one else. This will bring AOL back to the early 90s (or was it later
80s) when they were a large Mailbox. After that they'll be one again, as
will Yahoo and MSN. Where's your problem?
