Your basic system requires senders to verify that they aren't
spamming.  It gains nothing.

Is there any chance new people with some ideas could be given some quarter and 
perhaps some mentoring by those of us who've been around for a while rather 
than bullied into putting their innovative energies elsewhere?

Really, if the best you can do is crap all over someone's enthusiasm, please 
just don't reply.  This area needs more R&D calories, not fewer of them.
