I treat a copy as just that -- a copy. There is some motivation for
preserving the folding
insofar as with simple canonicalization the folding is important; so if
you're trying to
figure out why simple broke, that would be an important (and probably
common)
clue.
It might be worthwhile clarifying that in the description.
