Today there isn't much value in making the claim, so no one bothers. It

less useful because people found value in spoofing them.
Which is where such tools as SPF and DKIM, and even ADSP discardable,
are useful. The MLM could usefully publish '-all' SPF records, DKIM sign
all mail passing through it and assert that any mail purporting to be
via its lists which is not signed may be discarded. Though for ADSP to
help detect spooked List-ID headers, the MLM, rather than the submitter,
would have to be considered the Author domain.
