Actually, different guys (sciences, engineering disciplines), same concept. :)
Not according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto which names Vilfredo
Pareto as the originator of the concept of Pareto efficency, and says that the
Pareto chart was also named after him. I guess the one connection between the
two concepts is that a Pareto chart is most useful if the causes identified are
independent, and that fixing one cause of error won't aggravate another.
