Re: IRML Implementations

2002-02-14 11:49:51

Hi Anwar,

Andrew is right in that an IRML parser by itself is not very useful. Our
IRML parser (and its output format) is compatible with the IRML rule
engine developed by Intel (more info at
http://www.ietf-opes.org/software.htm). Since our IRML parser is open
source, you could of course also develop your own rule engine on top of
it. However, a limitation of both our IRML parser as well as Intel's
rule engine is that they do not yet support the latest IRML draft (-02).
So you may be better off with implementing your own solution if you want
to utilize features of the latest draft.

Do you have any approximate idea as to how long it would take for the
parser to be released?

It should only be a matter of days.

-Andre
