Hold it. We're discussing a security technology based on an introduction
when we can't look at the technology. We' just guessing, and that's a waste
of time. There have already been claims and counter-claims about SSL/TLS,
and the S/MIME WG is *not* the place for that debate, eh?

Nope, sorry, that draft doesn't exist. In fact, no draft with the word
"arnold" or "scmp" in its title exists. No draft with "Arnold" as an author
exists. No draft with "Commerce" in the title exists.
I propose that we cut off this thread right now, and wait until we can
actually read what is being proposed. We've got real-world work to do, and
debating unspecified technologies isn't going to help us here. When the
authors of the draft actually publish it instead of just talking about it,
we can decide whether or not it is appropriate for the S/MIME WG.
