this does not require that the msa create the field.  if an acceptable field is 
not present, the msa could merely reject the message.

my point is that the degree of creativity for an msa is legitimately highly 
variable and depends entirely upon the site policies.  there is nothing in the 
abstraction of Internet mail that dictates narrower and more rigid assignments 
of data creation.

if folks have a different view of the realities for current Internet mail, 
please say so.
