Who exactly generates new Message-ID per each transmission???
The MTA sending the message generates a new Message-ID each time it
attempts to send out the message. I've seen a few cases for
transactional email.
Yahoo Groups does (or did some time ago) a similar thing with the
envelope sender: They increment a counter in the sender with each
delivery attempt. Needless to say that didn't work well with
greylisting, so I had to whitelist them.
So what information could be used reliably in an enhanced greylisting?
What about the subject, and the date?
