The only issues still open in 2821bis-04 from before are 24 and 34.
34 Replace non-2606 ("example.com", etc) domains
We already have suggested textual changes for this issue, but John
didn't get a chance to work on 34 before -04 went out.
24 Revise all ABNF to make a closed system starting with a
definition for "command" or "command-verb"
Frank and Arnt, you've both indicated a desire to work on the ABNF.
Would you please work together off line and come back with a concrete
proposal? If possible, I'd like you to follow these guidelines:
1) Places where the text and the ABNF do not match are fair game.
2) Changing instances of "pseudo-ABNF" into true ABNF is fair game.
3) Adding terminals to make the ABNF parsable by the ABNF checkers
is allowable.
4) Not all semantics need to be expressed in the syntax.
For example, if the ABNF allows a string but the text constrains
that string to certain sets of values, a change is not needed
nor should be made to the ABNF.
5) It is not necessary to have a separate "collected grammar"
section.
