Now that the appeal is done and out of the way, do people prefer

1) none of the domain names be changed?

3) all domain names be changed

I would like to get a quick consensus call for this question. Please
respond by Thursday, July 10.

Since you ask, I'd recommend #2 (assuming isi.edu is OK with it).

Understand, it's inevitable that future documents will copy text
from 2821bis, and either have to face this issue when it's no longer
fresh in people's mind, or ask for an exception to the RECOMMENDED.
There can be no _fully_ satisfactory resolution to that.

You could insert a paragraph (appendix?) to explains the exception.... so
that also for documents that will copy text from 2821bis or for future
revision that will remain a valid exception and .... it could help to maintain
this issue fresh in people's mind.

I do not mean to lobby for changing _all_ examples, least of all
mechanically changing _all_ examples -- changing the ones we're
confident we can get right is certainly sufficient.

We should, at a minimim, consider changing the examples which
reference domains which _are_ registered to folks today.
