btw when gmail's smtp client is offered pipelining+chunking, it pipelines a
bdat with the first 65k of the payload along with mail+rcpt but then waits
for one of the rcpts to succeed before sending the rest.

Likewise, Exim pipelines the BDAT and message if it's small enough
for the output buffer.  If larger it pipelines a BDAT and the message
headers.

I'm not aware of any MTA doing header-inspection and early-reject of
later BDATs, but the support is there.
