I just have a technical question about this:
1. ARP's function is to resolve IPv4<->MAC addresses (32-bit<->48-bit)
2. Ipv4 addresses are running out.
Why the IPv4 development team did not implement a simpler mechanism for IP
addresses? in fact, we have larger addresses (and addressing) in the lower
level of the protocol stack...
IMHO If they had done this, the IPv4 addressing woudl be much simpler and we
would have more addresses available for all us, maybe the IPv6 release would be
delayed for 3-4 years, isn't it?
