Just imagine. Company X gets "IETF Certified", starts getting
business. Some-one crossposts an email claiming that Company X
apps break Mime specification. Uproar. Moral indignation. IETF
revokes Company X's certification. Company X starts losing
business. Company X unleashes the lawyers. Imagine, eh?

What a terrible waste of time for Company X's lawyers. They have so many
other important things to do, like buying new Armani suits, keeping
their hands out of their own pockets even in winter, and suing the
Federal Government for being a monopoly. It would be a lot simpler for
Company X to shove the Mime RFC where I think and use MS-Mime instead.
