I'm sure that we could have made a really awesome web site using ActiveX which
would have worked fine in IE6. Relying on IE6 or some other obsolete browser
as a basis for testing whether a web page works essentially invalidates the
work we do in updating and cleaning up specifications. The idea that we
should not use the technology that we design is abhorrent, if for no other
reason than that if we do not deign to eat our own dogfood, it is unreasonable
for us to ask others to do so.
