Operational experience has taught us that IPv6 fragmentation does not
work so well. Unlike IPv4, IPv6 encodes fragmentation information in
an IPv6 extension header. Sadly, many operators discard packets
containing that extension header.

Interesting. What a proper operation!

Considering that operational experience of IPv4 has taught us that
IP option is rather harmful than useful and totally unnecessary,
what was sad is that the infamous IPv6 design committee ignored
the operational experience, which is corrected by real world
operators.
