Two things, neither earth-shattering:

Jari did say he thought it was still too long. The second paragraph
(mentioning the patent policy) seems duplicative with what's in the second
bullet and the list at the bottom. And of course the top-level message should
be that first bullet: You have to follow all of the rules. Let's just strike
the second paragraph.

In addition to the pointer to the documents at the bottom (which I presume
will be links when this thing appears in HTML), it would be great to have a
link to https://www.ietf.org/ombudsteam <https://www.ietf.org/ombudsteam>
placed next to the line regarding anti-harassment procedures. That'll let
people also find the IESG Statement and other info.

I agree. And it would be good if it could fit legibly on a single slide, for
use in the WG chair slide decks, even if it’s something that in reality gets
all the attention of a pre-flight safety video.

As a slight aside, I noticed this week that at least one WG used the proposed
template rather than the (I think!) current one. While the direction of the new
text looks fine, we should probably be careful about what we’re using if it’s
not yet official.

Note Well

This is a reminder of IETF policies in effect on various topics such as
patents or code of conduct. It is only meant to point you in the right
direction. Exceptions may apply.

The IETF's patent policy and the definition of an IETF "contribution"
and "participation" are set forth in BCP 79; please read it carefully.

As a reminder:

• By participating in the IETF, you agree to follow IETF processes and
policies.
• If you are aware that any IETF contribution is covered by patents or
patent applications that are owned or controlled by you or your
sponsor, you must disclose that fact, or not participate in the
discussion.
• As a participant in any IETF activity you acknowledge that written,
audio and video records of meetings may be made public.
• Personal information that you provide to IETF will be handled in
accordance with the IETF Privacy Statement.

Definitive information is in the documents listed below and other IETF
BCPs. For advice, please talk to WG chairs or ADs:

BCP 9 (Internet Standards Process)
BCP 25 (Working Group processes)
BCP 25 (Anti-Harassment Procedures)
BCP 54 (Code of Conduct)
BCP 78 (Copyright)
BCP 79 (Patents, Participation)
TBD (Privacy)
