archives of styles ?

1999-07-01 09:27:11
Hi all

Just converted my HyperMail setup to MHonArc, and I must say MHonArc is a
brilliant piece of work. Just a brief question: is there any public
repository of 'styles' (i.e. complete resource files) ? Would be useful. The
thing appended is a fairly minimalistic resource that I would like to
contribute (can be put in the distribution if interested). It is very simple,
and actually based on the example in the distribution's documentation.

Incidentally, is there a way to set 'custom resources' ? I manage a number of
mailing lists, each with there own name and home page, which I like to
include in the lay-out. I solved it by using the C-preprocessor, but maybe
there are cleverer ways. Anyway, regards,

                                                                      Philip

This is a resource file for the MHonArc mailing list archiver. It was
adapted from the example file listed in MHonArc's doc/resources/rcfile.html
documentation. See there for more info. Usually you only have to change
where there is CHANGE-comment; replace the strings LIST_NAME and
ABOUT_URL with something suitable. A nifty way of doing this is to use

  /lib/cpp -P -DABOUT_URL=http://abc -DLIST_NAME=xyz thisfile > rcfile.mrc
