I've wondered a few times if/how long mh/exmh will continue to live... 
how they'll do after the post-babyboomers pass.
I think the cut-off is more likely to be gen-Xers than baby-boomers.
MH used to be the default MUA at MIT until ~2000, which is where I picked it up.

To this day, nmh is one of the first things I install on any new box.
