I notice that Message-IDs are now generated using LocalName(1),

Why is it working on my system? It wasn't set when I first installed
the newest nmh. After setting it, the behavior is again the same as
it was with my much older version of nmh.
I see in your message
Message-ID: <20120606035936.CC716BE05C@joseph.cosgroves.us>
which looks like a message ID that would be generated by sendmail or
postfix; the local-part is the wrong format for something generated by
nmh. So I'm guessing you aren't specifying -msgid to "send", and thus
what I'm griping about doesn't apply to you.
