My contribution to this group is wholly from
the perspective of a user organization soem ofwhose
reputation will be hurt if sensitive information is disclosed.
NASA has one element unclear in its 1995 secured applciation
deployment plan - secured email for individual users. we have
pilotable sucred telnet and ftp, directories, and have
good hopes for http.p
Pleae get your MIME/PEM products out fast, and of
a quality of system far better than the last round of PEM
solutions we played with (including my own) which were not
suitable for deploymenet.
As often said, in reality thats all that matters in the end.
I have no objection to the closure of the item on putting
MIME/PEM into the standards track. If it matters to
rough consensus, then my approval is here...!
I do believe its time for the IESG to formally restructure this WG, also.
