According to John Macdonald:
It is not clear that there *can be* a binary separation between
content and markup.
I think the case needs to made a lot more strongly before I see a
reason to blur the line between content and markup when designing a
new system.
(Having to blur the line when interpreting an *existing* system like
XML or HTML may of course be necessary.)
