If not, in late April or early May I will be releasing some simple rendering
code in C originally intended for Unix/X11 boxes, but generic enough to be
adaptable to other platforms if necessary.
The code will come with an example routine to map all of the Unicode Arabic
blocks (except the ligature presentation forms) to a couple fonts I provide
(see my Web page) and an example routine to map Hindi to another freely
available font (devnag18 on my Web page).
