I think having two different methods, one to parse
long names ("HANGUL SYLLABLE GA") and one to parse
short names ("GA") may be cleaner.

Regards, Martin.

In ftp://ftp.unicode.org/Public/MAPPINGS/EASTASIA/KSC/*.txt,

"HANGUL SYLLABLE GA" is named
   "HANGUL SYLLABLE KIYEOK-A"
or "HANGUL SYLLABLE KIYEOK A".
(a composition of long Jamo names)

Using mode might make addition of other formats easier.
(in the case of no specification of the mode, default is used)
(it might be better to reject short names by default)

parseHangulName($name, Short | Medium | Long)

* Short allows it to accept names like "GA".
Medium, like "HANGUL SYLLABLE GA". (or Default?)
  Long, like "HANGUL SYLLABLE KIYEOK-A".

The mode may be used in getHangulName.

BTW, are there any formats other than the above three?
