It was pointed out to me that not everybody is cybernetically
connected to the computers/Internet 24/7, so it is unfair to expect
that all the problems shaken out by 5.7.3 will be found and fixed in
one week. Especially unfair this would be towards the CPAN module
authors. Therefore a slightly less ambitious plan follows:
2002-03-04 Monday 5.7.3
2002-03-25 Monday Code Freeze for RC1
2002-04-08 Monday RC1
Yes, the April 1st is purposefully skipped :-) Also, we may able
to pick up the Unicode 3.2 character data (due out in March) for RC1.
Code Freeze still means "small targeted bug fixes okay".
