This is exactly the problem.  It looks like your POPmail client has a
broken understanding of rfc822.  Continued header lines (like Received:)
must have a space in column 1.

Whoops...I reworded my sentence into something that doesn't quite convey 
what I was trying to say...

The quoted material I sent shows the continuation of the really long 
"Received: " header starting in column 1 only because that's how it 
wrapped in Pine to be visibile in the standard 80 columns of the body 
of mail message.

In actuality, that first "Received: " is one really long line (that is, 
not continued).  The other header lines, which would also have been very 
long, were broken up into lines less than 80 columns long with the space 
in column 1 to signify a continuation header.

In other words, valid headers.  I was trying to say that what I quoted 
looks different than actuality due to the 80 column message width vs. the 
(near) infinite length of a line in a file.
