Does anyone know if there is any record that can be added to the

BTW, the reason for the request is that the list moderator of the
learning-org (rkarash(_at_)world(_dot_)std(_dot_)com) wants to add a reference
number
to the first message of a specific discussion in the list. The idea is
Say the mailinglist is called name(_at_)some(_dot_)where (the -request address
would
be name-request(_at_)some(_dot_)where).
The only thing you can do is change every occurrence of
name(_at_)some(_dot_)where
in any of the "To" and "Cc" fields to be:
name+1234(_at_)some(_dot_)where
Where 1234 is an increasing number. You'll need a sendmail configuration
(e.g. sendmail 8.7.3) that supports the +argument extension (which can simply
be ignored in this case).
Alternately, you can include a Reply-To: name+1234(_at_)some(_dot_)where to
make sure
that they will pick it up (but this could have unfortunate side effects).
