Hi y'all!
I have to admit....I've become far too dependent on retail 'idiot'
software...and, that I'm totally lost. Here's what's going on:
I was a member of a list which went down - permanently. Unfortunately, the
list members didn't want to disband. So, we've been sending group mail to
eachother as a way to communicate (temporarily). I want to bring the list
back to automation and was told SmartList would be a good choice. They also
said it was 'easy'. But, my intellect would not compare to Newton's.
So....my fingers trot me on over to Stephen van den Berg's ftp site and I
download Smartlist (and procmail). I'm following along in the instructions
to make sure I have a bin path (did that) and issue these commands.....(send
them? to where?).
Does anyone have the *Idiot's Guide* that they can send me? I can't seem to
find a light switch (i.e.; I'm totally in the dark). I really want to do
this to keep my 'group friends' together, but I (honestly) don't know what
I'm doing here.
Is there anyone that would be kind enough to guide me through this? Thanks
