So what field does everybody else use?

on a GOOD, well maintained list like the procmail list, I use

^TOprocmail(_at_)Informatik(_dot_)RWTH-Aachen(_dot_)DE

What happens if someone puts this (procmail) list in a Bcc: header instead?
Hmmm. Might as well try it with this post. Let's see what happens.

Anyway, a "^TO"-based filter will pick off both the post and a Cc: to you,
which may not be what is desired. From_ will distinguish the two (for
example).

This is very true. This msg got put in both my Personal mail
folder and my Procmail folder, each seperatly on the two msgs I recive.
But I use the X-Mailing-List header to grab procmail msgs. I definetally
don't want something sent to both me an the list to both end up in one
mailbox, And I don't use the msgid trick to sort out the dupes since there
are times when I want to keep the mail with the group and others when I
want to keep it in my personal folder.
