When David Hunt quoted this from the procmailex man page:
| : * !^Subject: send file .*[/.]\.
Bill Evans responded,
| That won't catch Subject: send file /a/b/c, because the / caught by
| [/.] must be followed by a period (signified by the \.) to be caught.
Bill, look at ALL the conditions on the recipe; the first one is
* ^Subject: send file [0-9a-z]
THAT is what disallows specifying a full absolute path, because it requires
that the file name start with a digit or a letter of the alphabet (capitals
are permitted because there is no `D' flag).
There was no need for the last condition (the one you extracted from David
Hunt's post) to retest something already determined.
