Correct... I have procmail running in my WWA shell.
WWA runs Smail, not sendmail. Smail does not care about exit codes set by a
program called in .forward.
I can use those exitcode tricks at my account on EnterAct, but they don't
work on WWA, period, and I'm sure that Smail (EnterAct uses sendmail) is
the reason.
Wow...:)... I have a feeling that you have "hit the nail on the head",
so to speak. Since you are a fellow WWA user, and I trust your
judgement (from following your posts for a while), I really appreciate
your feedback. I have been spending lots of time, trying to solve this
mystery lately. Now, I see that there is a major clue, regarding why
my efforts in experimentation here have failed.
If anyone knows how to make exitcode tricks work with Smail, Debra and I
would be very grateful for the information.
Yes, indeed. Or, in my case, could someone, at least, point me to a
source (or sources) of basic information about Smail,
e.g. FAQ's, newsgroups, Web sites, etc.? That would be really helpful.
Thanks a lot for your post, David. And, thanks, in advance, for any
other suggestions/responses.
