Sorry to bother everyone again.....
You may have seen my earlier message about Procmail Recipe files - Thanks
everyone who replied!
Some nice person told me how to filter on the X-ApparentlyTo: filed which is in
my mail headers. I set up a recipe like:
:0:
* ^X-ApparentlyTo:.*ian
/var/spool/mail/ianmail
:0:
* ^X-ApparentlyTo:.*dennis
/var/spool/mail/denmail
:0:
* ^X-Apparently-To:.*mailinglist
/var/spool/mail/mailinglist
This seemed to work fine last night, i had messages for ian and they went into
ian, messages for den went into den. However, this morning, i got messages from
some mailing lists, and they had been put in miscmail (I have:
DEFAULT=/var/spool/mail/miscmail in the .procmailrc file)
When I looked at this file in vi, the X-Apparently to line said -->
X-ApparentlyTo: mailinglist(_at_)chiltons(_dot_)u-net(_dot_)com
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in Advance!
Ian Chilton
