Is there any procmail usenet groups available? If not, wouldn't it
be an idea to create it? This mailinglist has far to much traffic.
And you think a newsgroup would not? I'd envision the newsgroup
would have a significantly higher noise-level than the mailing
list. Usenet is distributed to thousands of systems and resources
are consumed without regard to the fact that no one might be reading
particular newsgroups. At least with a mailing list, the target
audience wants the information. While we have the occasional bit
of SPAM on our plate in the mailing list, it would be much more
rampant in a usenet group.
An average of 8 messages or so per day for the past 56 days is
not "far too much traffic" in my opinion.
