Ah.....
This is the unfortunate "rich text" information that Microsloth mailers
append to outgoing messages that only other M$ mailers can use.
You can ask your correspondent to turn it off (this junk is a *big*
problem
on mailing lists). Tell him/her to examine the properties in the
address book entry and turn *off* the "always send in rich-text format"
check-box.
