What would be a simple rc recipie to alert me when a message, that is

time to go through my folders about once a week; the recipie would
alert me as soon as a message arrived which mentioned me in the text, and
thus I would not have to wait until I went through all the folders to
know about it.

This will simply write a copy of all such messages to the folder
honorable-mentions. Then just set up your biff/login script/whatever
to look at this folder, or forward these messages to your pager or
whatever. (If you only want to do this on mailing lists, you might
just check if it also matches ! ^TO_datela(_at_)via\(_dot_)net\> or something.)

/* era */

Some cultures like to put the family name in uppercase. I rarely see
this in mail (but then I have fairly little correspondence with France
or Japan) but this is just to demonstrate that you can look for
different variants.
